This little light of mine.

Mark over at Made To Praise Him had a succinct post concerning being a light. It's short and to the point and well worth the minute and a half it'll take you to read it and all the hours that you'll spend thinking about it later. Click here for his post "Thought of the Day".

His scriptural text:

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16

Are you a light? Is your light shining before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven?

I'm not. Mines not.

I was asking awhile back how I could know you're saved, how you could know I was saved, and how the world could know we're saved. And I wonder, what would happen if we all just did what we were supposed to do. If we forgot about our self-consciousness, forgot about our preconceived ideas, and the worlds preconceived ideas, of how things were suppose to be and simply spent our time completely and unabashedly loving God and those around us.

Maybe then we'd all be shining too brightly for me to even wonder, or the world to wonder, who really is saved.

Quite welcome, I was glad to find the thought myself. I took a quick dash over to your blog, but haven't had time to check it out yet. Your two posts about what language we'll speak in heaven interested me so I'll to make sure and go back Monday and read them. Thanks for commenting also, most times that's my main method of finding more blogs to watch.
